Section 8 Housing Specialist

The Portage Metropolitan Housing Authority (PMHA) is seeking a full-time Housing Specialist to assist with eligibility verification for rental assistance, perform rental calculations, and enter data regarding program participants into computerized data base, schedule and conduct meetings with applicants and participants, assist in contract preparation, and determine eligibility of housing units for Section 8. To be successful, the individual must be courteous with co-workers and public while dealing with numerous interruptions and communicate well in both written and spoken English. 

Applicants will be subject to driving, drug, and background checks. $17.67 – $19.44/hr plus employer paid benefits.
